We have been overwhelmed by the responses to the Nominate-a-Friend portion of the competition: so much so that we have had to delay the announcement of the winner while our pet counting-mouse tallies up the submissions. That’s right – we have a counting-mouse. And because he’s a mouse, he doesn’t have the best memory. So he’s had to start again once or twice. But no fear! We’ve replaced his water-supply with Red Bull, and he’s almost done. Hang tight everyone!
Today we’re issuing a gentle word of warning: a caution to those of you with a weak constitution, fear of being embarrassed in front of your peers or a general discomfort with the idea of your personal travel exploits being unleashed on The Internet...
Prepare yourselves, because soon we’re going to be launching The Travel Photo Fail. The rules are simple: send us your embarrassing or humorous travel photos (or those of your friends and family) and we’ll show the world just how ridiculous you are. Obvious rules apply – we’re not fans of nudity, profanity or anything you wouldn’t be comfortable showing to your nan. However, we are fans of people falling over, cultural misunderstandings, funny costumes, misspelled road signs, and anything strange that prompts a chortle or two. Use your imaginations and make us laugh!
So we’re leaving you today with a homework assignment: get those Travel Photo Fail photos together. And remember: it’s not wrong if it’s funny. Within reason, of course. We’ll let you know where to send them (and the fabulous prizes you could win) in the next few days.
