Ah, the travel playlist. A big part of going away is racking up your walkman (or one of these newfangled MP3 players) with a bunch of music for those lazy moments, bus journeys, departure halls and noisy youth hostels. You plug in, the world goes all dreamy and memories of home come flooding back.
When we were young (a long long time ago) one of our mates made a psychedelic trance tape for us and we carried it all the way round the world and brought it home and told him it was "great". Of course we didn’t listen to it. We're not INSANE.
Anyway so you are a musical lot. There's a bunch of music montages on the site and this morning the wonderful Lenay sent us an AWESOME tune we’d not heard before – Camera Obscura's 'Let’s Get Out Of This Country'... and the idea for a travel playlist was born.
If you are on Spotify, you can add tracks here – they've got a reasonable selection, alhough the stuff that is missing drives us bananas. If you aren't on Spotify or can't find the track you want, you can add your tunes to the Facebook page, Tweet us or drop us a line.
Maybe we'll burn a few CDs for the winner to take off to Morocco and beyond. The lucky so-and-sos won't really deserve it, but there we go.
