As the competition deadline draws nearer, so our previews of the different stages of the upcoming prize get more and more exciting! This week we’re taking a look at the epic last stage of the winner’s trip; a trek across the African continent.
This leg really does have it all - desert, cities, savannah, rainforest, mountain ranges, lowlands and beautiful beaches. Hang out with mountain gorillas in Uganda, wonder at the wildlife in the national parks, see the old African port of Zanzibar, experience adrenaline-fuelled fun at Vic Falls, ride the Okavango Delta in a dugout canoe, climb the dunes of Sossusvlei and when you’ve done with all that, take a well earned rest on the white beaches of Cape Town. When you do finally arrive in the ‘Mother City’, you’ll look back on six memorable months, having seen some of the most iconic sights on the planet. Starting in bustling London and heading afterwards to the desert sand of Morocco and the ancient land of Egypt. From Jordan and Turkey and then onward to the India and the Himalayas. The majestic land of Russia, experienced from the Trans-Siberian railway, threading through Mongolia, China and then down to Africa for 57 days... it really is an incredible prize, and someone reading this right now is going to win it.
