It’s Wednesday people. The middle of the week. And apparently, 'Wednesday' is derived from 'Woden’s Day.' But we’re not really interested in obscure Anglo-Saxon heathenism. For everyone here at GROM, Wednesday just means it’s time to salivate as we take another look at what we’ve got lined up for the winner of our grand 6-month adventure prize.
Nepal is a land where rugged scenery, dramatic mountains and unusual animals meet rich culture, friendly people and fascinating traditions. This leg of the prize combines an intoxicating mix of culture, incredible wildlife, exceptional sights and unsurpassed scenery. Here’s a brief outline of what you can expect. To start with, you’ll explore temples, go shopping and take a boat ride on the sacred River Ganges. You’ll also track the elusive Bengal tiger in Chitwan from elephant back and give inner peace a chance in the mountains of the Annapurna range. Then, visit the birthplace of Buddha, and see the highest point on the planet with a fantastic flight over the legendary peak of Mount Everest. And that’s not all: you’ll then head to Kathmandu to visit some of the many temples and enjoy the exotic sights and sounds of the city.
