Hello all and happy Friday! The weekend is so close.
We decided it would be a good idea to pick out Get Rid Of Me candidates each week who had especially impressed us. However, it’s proving to be a tricky job! There are dozens of entries that have made us laugh out loud: puns, eloquent polemics, fart gags – it all works on us. We can't play favourites with this carnival of freaks - you are all our beautiful children!
Instead we are going to single out three of GROMmers who have made really special videos this week. ALL the video efforts are impressive but the musical ones have really surprised and delighted us.
First there was Natalie Cruickshank with her astounding Lenny Kravitz montage – what a tune, it says it all about this competition.
Next, another montage with some beautiful photography by Lana Lee. Lana, we’re voting for you, can you tell us who that tune is by?
Finally, and this really was an astonishing development for the GROM team – somebody wrote us a song! Specifically, Brett Kyle. He actually wrote a flipping song! We’re amused, moved, and very happy.
Thanks to everyone who’s already taken part – we’ll be ramping this up over the coming weeks and trying to turn each and every one of you into a cause celebre. Until then – have a great weekend.
