"Get rid of me(!) because I'm just bored to death with life right now. I'm 40 this year and it's hit me I've sleepwalked through my 30s just focusing on work and seeking material things. I've completely forgotten to do the things that matter. Like taking a really wild holiday to a place I'd never imagined I'd go! For free, too! Get rid of me because I want to retrieve that adventurous spirit I had when I first left the university. Full of hope, brave; willing to go anywhere and do anything! Now at 40 I drove to the beach alone sometimes and stared out at a low mist over the sea, thinking of just being AWAY. Let my partner manage that business for a spell while I make a little piece of my dream come true. She'll survive, she can't possibly kill the company while I'm gone! And for me - maybe the trip will rejuvenate my perspective towards life right now; breathe fresh life into me; maybe I'll propose to the woman I'll go with in a mad moment of happiness together on some animal's back; heck maybe I'll find myself in the middle of an unexpected natural disaster and enjoy the thrill of danger; these unusual, out-of-the-ordinary stuff!
