"Please vote for me.... You are probably wondering why should you vote for me right!! It looks like I have had many adventures and done quite a bit of travelling... I  really really want to win this competition. In 2006 I had the opportunity to travel, I had 8 months off work and was going to do what I always dreamed of doing which was to travel around the world...no working just fun and adventure I worked and saved really hard for a couple of years and off I went. My plan was to travel through the states, Fiji, New Zealand, Australia and finally Africa and then back home to Ireland.  Unfortunately my trip ended abruptly with a bad car accident in Australia, two weeks before heading to Africa to do my Great African Adventure with On the Go Tours which I researched and found to be the best Company to book my tour with.  Waking up a week later in a hospital bed unsure of where I was or how I got there, I was devastated.   I talked with the doctors and told them I was due to start my Africa trip next week, while I thought I was doing a great job convincing them I was fine,there was no chance I was going to go anywhere anytime soon.  For two months I needed help to dress and shower and eventually was ok to return to Ireland. Completely and utterly devastated. Since my accident a lot has changed, I have physical scars, lost my smell and taste but I do realise how lucky I was to survive, these reminders I will have forever. The one thing I still cannot get out of my head is the fact that I never got to finish my trip.... When I first saw this competition I got so excited it was like I finally had the chance,well maybe...to finish what I never achieved 'My Around the World Once in a Lifetime Trip'. Those of you who know me, know how passionate I am about travelling and how I love to talk about all my adventures and advise people of places to go, stay, tour with.... The accident in Australia never stopped me wanting to travel. It did make me realise you only live once and you have to make the most of everyday. PLEASE PLEASE VOTE FOR ME ...THANK YOU SO MUCH XXX"
